Antique Vintage Estate Victorian Solid Australian Opal 14K Gold Pendant Appraise
A virtual open GASP of beauty in Victorian grace and drama. ONLY ONE of it's KIND in the world. It's rare, beautiful and divine but lets take a closer look at it. Scale: large at just slightly under 2" tall by 1 1/4" wide by 1/2 thick. It's heavier too, weighing in at 10.3 grams.
Color: Divine Teal green/blue fire natural solid Australian opal with a bright play of color from blue/green to salmon peach but with touches of gold fire as well. As you move the piece back and forth, there is fire evenly. Within each of the carat gemstone. The opal is striking against the 14k gold setting, like a cool water pool against the heat of the 14k gold and the shine of 8 pearls encircling as if dancing in tandem around it's prize opal. It is a sight to behold! We had to replace one of the pearls and the original brooch mechanism was bent so we removed it and placed a bail at the top to be worn as a pendant. It was formerly a brooch as in Victorian era. Was once popular but is now a stunning pendant. It is in perfect, pristine, flawless condition. Design: The piece is made with romance in mind. It is a stand-out piece that is bold in Victorian glory and yet delicate at the same time. It has yesteryear class, and a timeless beauty.The opal is heavenly green/blue with a cascading freefall of fire that SWEEPS across the opal in grade affair! The engraved and textured gold.
It sparkles and performs as it's moved back and forth or as you move through the room, it will catch the light around it and'wink' as those passing by. A world class specimen on Victorian Grace and beauty. It has lines and grooves so although is is a solid piece, it gives the appearance of bring organic as well. The gemstone sparkle like the sun setting on the rippling waves of the sea. Waving and layered, thick, three dimensional, not flat!
