Black Opal 14K Gold oval pendant with vivid red gold green blue colours

A beautiful Green Blue Black Opal with red orange colour change lower bottom of pendant as the pendant is moved around. This is a genuine solid black opal from Lightning Ridge NSW Australia which I have cut into this freeform oval.

The opal is predominately green then blue and is enhanced with a red colour change at the bottom of the pendant which travels up the lower portion of the stone and peters out as it travels up the stone although traces are found near the top of the stone. The various images show the play of colour as the pendant is viewed from different angles. To show off this beautiful Black Opal it has been set it in 14ct yellow gold for durability and colour.

It has a solid gold back to protect the stone. Opal in pendant setting lenght. Dimensions Bail & pendant (LxW). 20.5 mm x 7.25 mm. This is a beautiful opal for that extra special gift. Hand cut in our creative studio. Australian made in Australia millions of years ago and fashioned into a piece of exquisite jewellery only recently. Opal is notoriously difficult to photograph but the images give a true indication of the brilliance of this black opal and that is why it is set in 14K gold.
