OPAL SOLID - BLACK (GREEN / BLUE) - 0.52CTS. This magnificent opal has been cut to form an ellipse shaped design. It is a nice size for a pendant or large ring.

The colour play features a sparkling deep green and blue on a black background. It presents with a pinfire pattern when stationary or rotated. This stone is rated by me as N2 in body tone - using the Opal Association Base Body Tone Guide as reference - and brightness of around B3.

Shaped in a round form, it has been finished with a low cabochon top and flat bottom. It weighs 0.52cts and measures 12mm x 5mm x 1mm. The attached photos form an integral part of the description. Apart from cropping they have not been enhanced in any way.
